Role: Sr Manager/DGM - SCM & Logistics

Work Location: Bengaluru (Work from office)

Experience: 10-15 Years

Mandatory experience required: HW and Electronics.

A: APAC:

  • Procurement

  • Netsuite ERP Subject Matter Expert

B: Global:

  • Demand Planning
  • Monitoring Manufacturing Cycle
  • Strategic Projects

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

A1: Procurement:

  • Manage sources for procurement of TPP based on demand
  • Establish alternate sources for key products
  • Continuous improvement of lead time, costs & quality
  • Manage vendor relationships & periodical reconciliations
  • Procurement, vendor management, manufacturing and manufacturing quality will be global in nature NAM, LatAm & APAC market.

A2: Logistics:

  • Manage inward movement of material from manufacturers/ TPP sources
  • Manage out-wards movement of material for local and export sales
  • Manage smooth clearance of imports from time to time
  • Manage issuance and receiving back of material with R&D Division
  • Manage returns from customers
  • Manage warehousing, logistics for APAC

A3: Warehousing & Inventory Management:

  • Ensure 100 % and accurate transaction in Company ERP for all material movement
  • Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring no un-authorized movement of goods
  • Drive periodical inventory cycle counts and year-end physical verification for audits
  • Ensure standard safety standards and insurance requirements are adhered to for stored inventory

B1: Demand Planning

  • Work closely with APAC Business Team and Global Head of SCM for demand forecasting
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering on plans for required alternate sources for components
  • Component lead time management, to ensure sufficient availability for manufacturing as per plans

B2: Monitor Manufacturing Cycle

  • Work closely with Contract Manufacturers to ensure manufacturing cycle plans are being adhered to.
  • Timely escalation of potential risks
  • Monitor open purchase production orders and NPI orders with contract manufacturers

B3: Strategic Projects

  • Work closely with APAC Business Teams and Global Head of SCM on strategic projects

Other Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications

  • Experience with contract manufacturers and 3PL providers is essential.
  • Global supply chain management experience a plus.
  • Proven strong team leadership and development skills.
  • Highly organized individual, able to multi-task and manage demanding projects and deadlines. 
  • Experience with NetSuite and Microsoft Office is desired. 
  • Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder based on situations.
  • Should be flexible for late night/early morning calls.
