Role: Technical Documentation Specialist, Product Team

Work Location: Bangalore

Experience – 4 to 7 years

MISSION: Technical Documentation Specialist to own documentation across product. The role will need to produce User Manuals and Training materials for various aspects of the products usage on both software and hardware side. The 75F technology stack is engineers, and system analysts. The 75F technology stack is comprised of hardware, firmware, mobile, web UI (i.e., Angular), NodeJS and Java services, Azure CosmosDB, InfluxDB (i.e., time scaled database), machine learning, and big data analytics. This role will be focused on the both hardware and software portion of the stack and the role will need to gain a detailed understanding of their functions. A successful candidate will have a quality-first approach to deliver maintainable, well-documented, and well-illustrated documents. Also he/she will need to adapt quickly to change, be able to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders alike, and be able to champion efficient agile processes, delivery, and DevOps while mentoring others to do the same.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and own user manual creation and maintenance across various aspects of the product usage.
  • Author and publish various product documentation for different software and hardware specifications.
  • Conduct audience analysis. Collaborated with various Managers and stakeholders to generate instructional and user guides
  • Edit and update all published and in-queue technical documentation as per marketing guidelines
  • Produce documents with infographics that are engaging, easy-to-read and visually-appealing to readers
  • Communicate effectively with peers and other leaders to drive efficient documents
  • Work under the pressure of competing priorities, approaching deadlines, changing feature designs, and missing or incomplete specifications.

  • Extract and gather information needed to produce effective Help for software features by interviewing internal staff, using our mechanical software and hardware products and features, and researching existing literature
  • Take ownership of and drive the complete Help production process, including information gathering, draft production, draft revisions, technical and editorial reviews, and final proofing.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related technical discipline.
  • 2-5 years in technical content creation and ownership
  • Taking highly technical information provided by developers and transform it into understandable, concise Help for the end-user
  • Producing short videos. Video production can involve scripting, video capture, and video editing tasks
  • Working comfortably with a variety of software tools, including version control systems, structured authoring systems, project tracking software, video production software, graphics editing packages, video conferencing, etc.
  • A fast learner, comfortable teaching yourself with new skills and can thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • A love for analytics and various User experience aspects.
  • Detail-oriented and highly motivated approach
  • Quality-first approach for documents produced

And the preferred experience:

  • 2+years’ experience in the in the IoT and BMS industry;
  • Knowledge of modern agile processes and optimization

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into simple, elegant technical solutions
